I totally forgot to post this! Jeni Hopewell did a collab not too long ago with Britt-ish Designs and Fluffy Bunny Feet Designs called {Tiny Dancer}. Here are some of my latest scrappings. I love scrapping fun little cards like this. Especially if it has to do with Christmas! Some of the cutest digital kits are out around the holidays...these are a couple of them. You should check them out. And another cute kit is out as well...Jeni Hopewell has a really cute one called Merry Merry. I still have yet to post my layout. Yikes. A little behind. That's coming though.

I've been baking goodies galore! It's so fun though. I am learning how to make Christmas candy. So far I have done fudge, peanut brittle, and millionaires. They are all GREAT. This is the card we are using to take goodie plates to friends. I am in love with this kit.

Yes...I just had a baby and for some reason I just don't have the time to do any scrapping! ha! I really want to though. I am trying to find some time between feeding and keeping up with my 2 year old. How do you other moms find the time??? I guess if I were to get more involved and participate in some challenges etc. I would have to make the time. It seems almost impossible. All in due time...right? I finally had the motivation to go back and scrap these pictures from Brampton's first Halloween. Boy...I am slowly getting there. Really! It doesn't look like I am catching up, but I guess that's b/c I am not really doing it in any order. I have really been dreading Halloween and Christmas. I'm not sure why. I guess it's b/c I don't really have stuff (paper etc.) for those holidays and I want them to look decent. Here's what I came up with...a matching page is in the making!!! I'll post that later.

ADSR 3-Challenge #12

Here's challenge 12! Wow. That's it. I can't believe we're done with the race!!!! I have had so much fun. It's fun to do something you love...(besides the mom stuff)...multiple times a week. It has really helped me get some LO's done...and that is great. I hope I can keep it up.

Challenge 12 was a major accomplishment. Crystal had to send me pictures and journaling of a major accomplishment in her life and then I had to come up with the layout. Here it is.

Challenge 11 was great! All we had to do was include wings somewhere in our layout. I actually completed a page last June with these same elements in it so I just did a matching page for it! I'll post them together later. I'm still not sure if they'll look good side by side. I might have to make some adjustments. I'm very happy with this page...it's pretty cute!!! Anyways...here's my layout for number 11. Only 1 more challenge to go!!!! Wow...I can't believe we're almost done. It's due by Sunday so check back to take a peek.

ADSR 3-Challenge #10

Ok...so challenge #10 was for the team member that didn't do challenge #6. Crystal did that challenge which meant that it was my turn! This one was a little tricky...you had to scrap about where your life is headed and how you feel about it...something along those lines. Also you had to use 50 DIFFERENT elements and 10 DIFFERENT designers. The designer part wasn't too bad. I just had a hard time making the 50 element requirement. I am not used to having so many things on one page. It looks a little too busy and messy for me. But I'm happy to be done with this one...onto a fresh new week!! This past week was busy crazy. We even made a surprise visit to the ER and hospital Thursday and Friday. I'm happy to say that we are all doing well though. I'm so glad tomorrow is Sunday...a day of rest!!!!

Ok so this challenge was HORRIBLE! I honestly mean that too! I had no motivation to even want to begin this layout. I have no idea why anyone enjoys scrapping this way (sorry to those of you who may like the artsy stuff). I didn't even know people did this kind of stuff. Thanks to Crystal and Sarah for helping me out. You guys are great. Oh...and I'll forever be grateful for the tons of vintage freebies at Christina Renee's blog. Anyway...I don't like this layout. I have no idea if it even fits the requirements. They did say mix the old with the new...modern and vintage. So here's what I came up with. I hope that they accept it...if not I am really going to feel bad. Especially for Crystal. But...the requirements were to do an altered art layout. Basically, they said some kind of collage, new and old, vintage/modern. Interesting....

ADSR 3-Challenge #8

Challenge #8 wasn't too bad at all. In fact it was super fun. It took me a while to even get started on it just b/c last week was so busy! I finished it up yesterday a couple of hours before the deadline. I hope I am still ok and in the race. So far, I have received great free prizes b/c of this race. I love it! My collection of digi scrapping stuff has really grown! Here is my layout for challenge 8. We had to scrap a memorable vacation. All the pictures needed to be black and white and we had to use the lyrics from a song somehow. Oh...and our title could only be one word. I think that was everything. I chose to do our pictures from the first time we came to Galveston (Oct. 2006).

Challenge #7 was very challenging! I am not going to go into details about everything...but our layout had to have a certain number of stuff all by the same designer. I chose to use Brittish Designs. I have a ton of her stuff. I am not really thrilled about this page. But I am sure glad that it is done! I think that if I do end up using this for Brampton's scrapbook that I'll probably change it up quite a bit...make it a little more boyish.

ADSR 3-Challenge #6

Challenge #6 was a ROADBLOCK. Which meant only one member of our team needed to participate in the challenge. The challenge was called Spin-A-Lift. My partner, Crystal, took this challenge on. She had to choose a layout from my gallery to spin. Spin meaning she had to turn the layout either 90 degrees or a full 180 degrees. You could also flip it horizontally or vertically to come up with a brand new composition. Crystal did an awesome job! Here's a look at what she did....

ADSR 3-Challenge #5

Challenge #5...oh boy! This one was a little more difficult for me. I had a really hard time coming up with something that I wanted to do an interview with. For this one we had to do an interview with an inanimate object including a minimum of 4 questions & answers. It could be funny, historical, or whatever we wanted. I chose to use Brampton's Mr. Elephant. This is his best friend ever! He loves it. He even shares his goldfish with it. So cute. Anyway...it's done...I really procrastinated this one...but enjoyed every minute spent creating it.

Ok, yes the race is still going (Amazing Digi Scrapping Race). And it has been so much fun. This is my very first time participating in the race. It has really helped motivate me to get pages done besides the challenges...love that! This is my layout for challenge #4...it's due by Sunday. I had a lot of fun doing this one...pretty simple requirements. You were suppose to basically "spill it". Write about something...anything really and it has to take up 1/4 of the page. Then you had to have one large photo and some blending of some sort. I really like how this one turned out! Of course I pretty much like any page that has to do with Brampton. Super fun. I love the "blending the photo into the background" look.

ADSR 3-Challenge #2

This challenge was a little more tricky than the first (just having to transfer a layered file through email, but we figured it all out). The requirements were to complete a layout between you and your partner. This is the finished layout. I started with the papers and pictures and then my partner, Crystal, added the elements and journaling. She did a great job at finishing it...I didn't really give her much to work with. I can't wait to be able to finish one of her LO's. Hopefully there is another challenge similar to this.

Adjustments and New Layout

So like I said in my previous post, I created the crawling LO to match the challenge page. But I didn't like the final results. So I made some adjustments to it and created a matching page to go with it. I am pretty pleased, although, they are just to similar for me. I don't know...but for now it'll do. I am not sure if I should leave the center photo on the right in sepia or change it back to color so it's all the same??? What do you think? It's late and I am super tired...maybe that's why I can't make up my mind.

Crawling LO

Here's another layout. I wanted to do a matching page with the previous layout (ADSR-Challenge #1) but when I put them together it didn't look to good. But for now...here is another take on the template used for the challenge by Christy Haig. I scrapped pictures of Brampton first crawling (November 2006)....I guess you could call it that. ADSR-Challenge #1

Here's my take on the first challenge of the Amazing Digi Scrapping Race. We were given a template to use (which made it fast and easy). The requirements were to scrap using your favorite color. I love green and I am a huge fan of polka dots. I especially love green and brown together. The second requirement was to scrap your favorite person. Well...Brampton is ONE of my favorites. I have so many pics of him that I want to get done too. I thought I should take advantage of the opportunity. The third requirement was to pick a favorite element and use it at least 3 times. I currently love this kit by Kristin Cronin-Barrow (Rugged). I think it's too cute. I especially like the stars. With that said...here's challenge #1.

We are given 2 challenges a week (Sunday & Tuesday). The deadline is the following Sunday. The cool thing about the race is that for every challenge you complete, you are given some kind of "goody" (at least I think). Well...now that this challenge is completed...off to the next! I'll post more about that one soon.

I finally decided to start my scrap blog! I had posted previously on our family blog that I wasn't going to just b/c it would be a hassle. But I changed my mind. I think it's going to be fun. I am such a nerd...but I have already enjoyed just getting it together and organized. It's nice to finally be able to experiment with the girly stuff (remember, I only have boys to scrap for)!!

Having a scrap blog also allows me to get more involved in the "digi scrap world". My friend, Sarah Ebbert, found me a partner for the ADSR (The Amazing Digi Scrapping Race Season 3). I am super excited!!! That is one of the reasons for finally having the motivation to start this thing. I have yet to post any LO's...but don't worry...they'll be coming (until then you can check out my galleries).
